Chiddingfold Finances

We receive no outside help for running the club, so what we raise is what we get.

Each year the management set a budget they feel will cover the costs and then have to estimate as to how many players will register. The registration fee is calculated accordingly.

We have to cover the cost of footballs for both training purposes and a few higher quality ones to serve as match balls. Then there is the plethora of training kit which includes items such as cones, coloured bibs, hurdles and equipment. Our biggest outlay is hiring the all weather facility at Haslemere.

This year we are sharing the training ground costs with Chiddingfold seniors and as such has cut our costs dramatically (50%).  The seniors are trialing this idea and so far all seems well. The plus side to this arrangement s we hope to be able to introduce our players to the seniors, which we hope will serve them well if they choose to go on and play at senior level within the club.

Ian Jones has kindly said he will continue as club treasurer, despite his son not now being an active squad member. We are more than grateful to Ian for this help. The thought of stripping off ones shoes and socks for those bigger numbers has always been a bit of an embarrassment.

This year the subs have been set for 25 initially. We believe this will cover the costs as we see them but have noted that if the seniors give up on using the all weather ground, we will have to make a further charge to cover the costs.

On top of the above, there are costs such as paying refs for games. This generally costs about 20 per match. Our playing kit is one of the most expensive singular items so we are very fortunate to have 'STC' sponsor the cost of this. We also have another sponsor, A B Carpets, who pay for all the half time refreshment drinks we use on match days.

We do not have to pay for our home ground use though when called upon to help with maintenance in the past, we ave always been ready and willing to do so.
